Long-Term Commitment: We prefer a commitment of 6+ months to ensure a meaningful learning experience and maximize your impact.

I can not forget what I love most about working for BDI and the work I do though. Every morning I look forward to walking in the door of a home, seeing my clients smiling faces, and being excited about the progress we will make that day. I have one client whom when I started with them barely spoke, but now every time I walk in says “Good morning Grace” and every time I leave the house says “Bye-bye Grace” and blows me a kiss. It’s one of the simplest expressions but to understand the progress that has been made and feel the gratitude from a family is a feeling I will always treasure.

Working with Behavioral Dimensions has been a unique pleasure though I do not work directly with clients. I get the unbelievable pleasure of working with the Therapist that do work with the clients. I work in the main office and Therapist come into the office to work in the resource room, gathering materials for their next session of ABA Curriculum that BDI developed for client.

When therapists come in, they will talk about a kiddo they are working with, stories always surprise me. As challenging their jobs are they, are always happy with great attitudes.

Since I started with BDI many things have developed and it all comes from the enthusiasm of a wonderful team working together to make things happen and a strong leader that does not give up even in times like COVID-19. BDI’s doors remained open during COVID-19 and telemedicine became an important part of our connection with clients. It, was two years of immense, quick thinking and keeping everyone motivated through telecommunication.

Undoubtedly, I consider the therapist, the parents that call in and the office my clients, which I assist to my pleasant cheerful self. I never have a bad day coming to work, I believe in who I am supporting and will work hard. Additionally, BDI management is flexible to having balance in life, which we all need, no one can work all the time. My perspective one must be dedicated to what you are doing, and the rewards follow. I wouldn’t leave my position it is fulfilling, by being a part of a bigger picture I am doing something to make a difference.

One of the most rewarding parts in working with Behavioral Dimensions is teaching such incredible kiddos and seeing all of their progress they make every day. I love having the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients and families! It is a joy to be involved in the journey and growth of each child as they learn and generalize language skills, establish positive relationships with family members/peers, work through challenges, and succeed in the community.

The best part of my job is watching the progress of the kids. I have the unique perspective of observing this progress both daily and over time. I love watching the kids generalize things they have learned to their natural environment. Another aspect of this work that warms my heart is when a parent tells me a story about how their child is using a new skill such as using words to communicate instead of tantrums for example. These are among the many reasons why I enjoy working at Behavioral Dimensions.
