Evaluations and Assessments: Minnesota Only
We offer assessment services for families living in Minnesota with concerns about autism or related conditions for their children or adolescents.
Our evaluations combine detailed parent/caregiver interviews, observations, psychological testing, and reviews of medical and educational records. If needed, we reach out to medical providers, educators or others who know your child to get their perspectives. No matter what your concerns are, we will consider the whole picture of your child, and your family.
We bring all these sources of information together to help create a full picture of needs and strengths. At the end of the process, we meet with you to provide feedback and to help you find services and supports from providers in your area.
Assessments are available for people aged 2-17 years old for initial concerns around autism and other developmental challenges, or for a re-evaluation of an existing diagnosis.
For initial evaluations, we typically schedule a 2-hour telehealth interview, followed the next week by a 2 hour in-person testing appointment, and a follow up telehealth feedback session the third week. Assessments are available in Spanish or English and for other languages using interpreters. Our ability to provide assessments depends on insurance coverage, we are in-network for many private insurance plans, and we are a medical assistance provider.
The assessments are conducted through a combination of telehealth and in-person sessions at Behavioral Dimensions’ office located at:
7010 Highway 7
St. Louis Park, Mn 55426.
